Find your lost version

In this world full of opportunities and options, everyone is confused about what to do, how long to do it, and why they should even do it. These questions come to your mind no matter what field you’re in. Whether it’s relationships, work life, or any other part of life, this confusion hits all of us at least once.

I’m still trying to figure out the answers myself, and trust me, it’s not as easy as cracking a simple math test. Every single day, I deal with overthinking, anxiety, low self-esteem, and a bunch of miserable thoughts. But after going through all of that, I came to a realization—something based on my own past. And I believe it might help you too.

My biggest problem has always been negative thoughts and low confidence. I don’t know if it's because of the environment I grew up in, but now I really understand how much your surroundings shape you. I didn’t have a mentor. I didn’t have someone guiding me. And because of that, I always thought, “I can’t do what I want to do.” My mind was full of distractions instead of direction. And honestly? I didn’t even know what my goal was.

But that’s okay. Because sometimes, confusion is exactly where the fire inside you begins.

When I was 19, I had a lot of spare time. And I mean, a lot. I used to overthink everything. I tried different habits, read books, watched podcasts, consumed productive YouTube videos—you name it. Anything I could try to “fix myself,” I tried.

But the thing that changed me the most was simple: setting a goal.

I realized that when I clearly set a goal for myself, I achieved things way faster than I ever expected. Back in Nepal, I used to think, “One day, I’ll earn 50,000 per month.” And holy shit—I actually did it. I still don’t fully know how, but writing it down made my subconscious mind start working toward it. Suddenly, I wasn’t overthinking the “how.” I was just doing the things that moved me in the right direction.

So here’s what I want you to take away from this: Write down your goals. All of them. Big or small.

It can be as simple as:

These tiny goals build confidence. And when your confidence grows, you naturally start achieving bigger things faster. Step by step, your mindset shifts. Step by step, the fog lifts.

So yeah—don’t get lost in overthinking. The more you think, the more the web traps you. Instead, climb the small ladder in front of you. One step at a time.

Your future self will thank you for it.
